Executive Team Bios

Jared F. Bartie
Jared F. Bartie joined World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. in November of 2008 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel overseeing legal and business affairs. This is Bartie’s second tour of duty with WWE, having previously worked for the company in the position of Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs.
Prior to rejoining WWE, Bartie served as Chief Administrative Officer & General Counsel of Bobcats Sports & Entertainment (which includes the Charlotte Bobcats franchise and Time Warner Cable Arena). His responsibilities included overseeing the legal, finance, human resources, IT, arena operations, event booking and guest services departments.
Bartie began his affiliation with the NBA serving as Vice President of Marketing & Team Business Operations. In that role, he consulted with various teams on improving their business operations and revenue generating functions, with particular emphasis on fan development, ticket sales, corporate partnerships, public relations and community outreach. He also provided strategic business counsel regarding methods of improving team branding, marketing and advertising.
Bartie has also served as General Counsel & Chief Legal Officer for the United States Tennis Association and has held positions with the XFL, Radio City, Dennis Publishing, Scholastic and Black Entertainment Television. He began his career as an associate in the Labor and Employment group and served in the Sports Law group of Proskauer Rose LLP (formerly Proskauer Rose Goetz and Mendelsohn).
Bartie was awarded a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from American University. Bartie serves on the Law Board of Northwestern University School of Law and on the board of the Sports Lawyers Association. He and his wife, Wendy, have a daughter.
