World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. is an integrated entertainment company that features a portfolio of specialized businesses that create and deliver original content for a cultivated, passionate and intensely loyal customer base. The company markets and distributes this original content under the WWE brand. The company reports operating revenue in four segments:
Live and Televised Entertainment,
which consists of live events, television programming, pay-per-view, video on demand programming and the sale of merchandise at live events.
Consumer Products, which consists of the sales WWE magazine and home video products as well as video games, toys, books and other consumer products through third party licensees.
Digital Media, encompasses online advertising, e-commerce, broadband and mobile services.
WWE Studios, which is focused on the creation of a diversified mix of filmed entertainment, including theatrical films, direct-to-DVD movies, and scripted television movies, series and reality programming.

Business Strategy
Our formula is straightforward. We develop compelling content anchored by our Superstars. We market this content to drive television ratings, which, in turn, drive pay-per-view buys, live event attendance, WWE.com traffic and branded merchandise sales and other business initiatives. Our strategy is to capitalize on the significant operating leverage of our business model through the distribution of this intellectual property across existing media platforms, as well as new and emerging distribution platforms.
We are working to expand the mainstream potential of the World Wrestling Entertainment brand in domestic and international markets, develop extension businesses off the World Wrestling Entertainment brand, fully develop our web presence as an entertainment and advertising platform, and develop new programming and entertainment brands that leverage WWE’s core competencies.
